Tuberculosis [TB] is a specific communicable disease and is one of the most common disease in developing countries like India. There are 20-25 million cases of infectious tuberculosis in the world.In India alone there are 12-15 million cases of primary tuberculosis of which about 2 million are bacillary cases at any given period of time.[PARK&PARK 1986].Currently, more people die of tuberculosis than from any other infectious disease. Death from tuberculosis comprises 25% of all avoidable deaths in developing countries2. Every minute, a death occurs due to tuberculosis in our country. To add to the existing burden, the situation is compounded by the large scale increase of new TB cases associated with increasing HIV infection. India is estimated to have 3.5 million HIV patients, and about 1.8 million of these are co-infected with TB5. Tuberculosis usually affects lungs and the next common entity is the tubercular lymphadenopathy [TLN.]
Many a time exact diagnosis of TLN poses a great problem to the clinician.This is because of wide spread nature of the disease and consequently symptomatolgy produced is very vague. In TLN specilised investigation like ELISA test,PCR etc.are also not always diagnostic. In pulmonary cases diagnosis can be confirmed by demonstrating AFB in the sputum but the same is not true for TLN. Inabiity to demonstrate AFB in most of the patients of TLN has prompted many workers 2,4 to develop serological tests. However these attempts have not so far resulted in providing a single reliable serological test for either pulmonary or extrapulmonary TB. Open surgical biopsy is a time consuming procedure and also this facility is not available at all centres in developing country like India. Thus in the present scenario, fine needle aspiration biopsy[FNAB] is recommended for evaluation of cytomorphological pattern[CMP] and its utility in establishing the diagnosis of tuberculosis [TB].

Data Aggregation is an important aspect in Wireless Sensor Networks WSNs and this is because it reduces the amount of data to be transmitted over the network. This is done by either avoiding the transmission of redundant data or aggregating the result from different sensors and forwarding only the aggregated result further to BS. In previous studies authors used homomorphic encryption properties for concealing communication during aggregation such that encrypted data can be aggregated algebraically without decrypting them. These schemes are not satisfying multi applications which lead to proposal of CDAMA (Concealed Data Aggregation for Multi Applications). It is designed for multi applications, as it provides secure counting capability and also it reduces the effect of compromising secrets of a single application. In wireless sensor networks or environments the sensor nodes are defenseless and are vulnerable to some attacks. Considering the security aspect of wireless environments we have used Dynamic Intrusion Detection Protocol Model (DYDOG) and a modified key generation procedure that uses Digital Signatures and Two Fish Algorithms along with CDAMA for enhancement of security and throughput. To prove our proposed scheme’s robustness and efficiency, we conducted the simulations, comprehensive analysis and comparisons in the end.

The experimental material in brinjal (eggplant) comprised 19 parents (15 lines + 4 testers), 60 F1 crosses and two standard checks (BH-1 and BH-2). This was grown in Randomized Block Design, with three replications. Lines vs. testers showed significance for all characters except plant height, plant spread, number of primary branches, dry matter, total sugars and total phenol. Analysis for parents vs. hybrids showed significance for all the characters except average fruit weight, number of fruits per plant, plant spread and number of primary branches. Analysis of Variance for combining ability revealed mean squares due to lines and testers were significant for all the characters except plant height, plant spread, number of primary branches, total sugars, total phenol and content of anthocyanins. The ratio of variance due to specific combining ability and general combining ability (σ2SCA: σ2GCA) was greater than unity, indicating non-additive genetic control for all traits except plant spread and total phenols. Among the females, Punjab Barsati, PBR-91-1, RCMBL-1-1, BSR-11; and among the males, BB-93-C and U-8-61-3 were best general combiners for yield and yield components. Punjab Barsati was the best combiner for days to 50% flowering, days to first fruit harvest, number of fruits per plant and number of primary branches. The cross JBR-3-16 × PB-64 manifested best SCA effects for days to 50% flowering; PBR-91-1JBSR-98-2 for average fruit weight; BSR-11 × PB-64 for fruit length; BSR-11× U-8-61-3 for fruit girth, and the cross HABL-1 × JBSR-98-2 for yield per plant and per hectare.Keywords

Meningiomas of sinonasal tract are a rare entity. Primary sinonasal meningiomas often pose difficulty in diagnosis because of their infrequent occurrence and clinically they appear to be nasal polyp. The final diagnosis rests on the histological examination. Extra cranial meningiomas are rare and tend to be more aggressive. Here a case of primary sinunasal meningoma with extension into the nasal cavity is presented and despite of its aggressive behavior it was benign. The importance of complete surgical extirpapion is undoubted and results in a good survival rate. Histological grading of the tumour is not crucial in predicting the rate of recurrence. The paucity of reported cases is the evidence for its rarity.

The present study in an attempt to study experimental investigation of coefficient of drag and flow separation pint over circular and square cross. The experimental test rig has been tested in Refrigeration & Air-conditioning laboratory. Results have been presented for a rough circular cylinder at various separation angles to the incoming flow. The range of angles of separation varies between 0° to 180° Experiments show that coefficient of pressure decreases with increases the separation angle and attain a lowest value, and then increases with an increase in the separation angle.Keywords

DDoS attacks in MANETs needs to be handled as early as possible so as to avoid them to reach the victim node. DDoS attacks are difficult to detect due to their features like varying attack intensity, large amount of packets etc. so it becomes necessary to distinguish and filter attack traffic in source or intermediate clusters. Here the cluster heads will uses flow based monitoring schemes to identify the suspicious behaviours of incoming traffic in each clusters. Cluster head constructs flows from the incoming traffic and computes normalized entropy for specific time windows. The normalized entropy is compared against threshold entropy to identify the presence of suspicious flows. Later packet rate of suspicious flow is calculated and compared against packet rate entropy to identify the suspicious flows. Later the suspicious flow information is shared with neighbouring cluster heads to further confirm the presence of DDoS attack or not. If DDoS attack is confirmed the packets related to suspicious flows will be discarded. The efficiency and accuracy of proposed attack detection algorithm is evaluated using some performance metrics.Keywords

This study was aimed to evaluate the effect of sugar syrup concentration (SSC) (0, 30 and 60 °Brix (°B)), time of dipping (TD) of aonla segments in pomegranate juice (30, 60 and 90 min) and drying temperature (DT) (50°C, 60°C and 70°C) on the quality of aonla candy. The prepared candy was assessed for its physical, chemical and sensorial characteristics such as total soluble solids (TSS), titratable acidity (TA), ascorbic acid content (AA) and overall acceptability (OAA). Response surface methodology using Box–Behnken design was utilized for formulating the design of experiments, statistical analysis and optimization of process variables. Second-order polynomial models were fitted to determine the responses as a function of process variables. All three independent variables were observed to have significant effect (P ≤ 0.01) with coefficient of determination (R2 ≥ 0.90). The optimum process conditions for preparation of novel aonla candy were SSC of 60°B, TD of 30 min and DT of 70°C. The quality characteristics recorded at optimum experimental condition were TSS of 30.16°B, AA of 207.79 mg/100 g and OAA of 7.71 with lower TA of 1.48%.Keywords
